Jean Marie Eidem was born August 13, 1946 in Dickinson, the daughter of Olar Bjarne and Marjorie (Scott) Eidem. She was raised and educated in Dickinson, having graduated from Dickinson High School. She spent three years continuing her education at Dickinson State College until marriage looked better!
Jean was united in marriage to Roy Kent Pahlmeyer on November 29, 1969 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson and to this union two children were born, James and Christina.
Jean belonged to the homemakers group and the WELCA women’s group at Zion Lutheran country church. She taught Sunday School and VBS for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, dice games-with her favorite being Farkle, jigsaw puzzles, bird watching. Jean and Roy would play Rummy to see who would go out to feed the cattle.
She always loved animals and was so happy to be able to live on the farm so she could have as many as she wanted. Jean loved gardening and tending to her flower beds, baking, and visiting friends. But best of all, having a loving husband, and two precious, wonderful children. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
