Mary Louise Stoltz, 87, Dickinson, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Mary Louise’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March, 30, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Dallas Carlson presiding.

Mary Louise Froehlich was born September 14, 1933 in Belfield, the daughter of Nicodemus and Annie (Brodman) Froehlich. She was raised and educated in the Belfield area, having graduated from Belfield High School. She went on to attend Dickinson State Teachers College, and received a teaching certificate. She taught at Shipley Country School for two years.

Mary Louise was united in marriage to Leo Stoltz on December 29, 1953 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Belfield and to this union 15 children were born. After the kids left home she went to work for the Social Security Administration.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening and baking. Mary Louise was a member of St. Anne’s Auxiliary, FCE, Garden Club, Club of 69 Homemakers for 35 years, and a Progressive 4-H Club leader for 36 years.

Mary Louise is survived by her 14 children, Maryann (Darrell) Sadowsky, Gladstone, Jeannie Weismann, Dickinson, Sharon (Don) Hibl Marshall, Minn., Ed Stoltz, Dickinson, Alvara (Neil) Stroh, Sandy, Ore., Jim (Adele) Stoltz, Dickinson, Anita Stoltz, Bismarck, Karla Adams, Marshall, Jackie (Dale) Steinmetz, Carson, Laverne Stoltz, Lincoln, Pat Stoltz, Dickinson, Jeff Stoltz, Dickinson, Curt (Amy) Stoltz, Dickinson and Vern Stoltz, Dickinson; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Annette (Curt) Dumke, Waconia, Minn., Joe (Anna Marie) Froehlich, Moultonbrough, NH, Don (Sarah) Froehlich, Belfield and Francis (Betty) Froehlich, Dundas, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Stoltz; infant daughter, Thersia; sisters, Jeanette and Joann; brothers, Ed, Norbert, Ernest, and Ervin; sons-in-law, Don Weismann and Sheldon Adams.
