Visitation will Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.

Peg was born to Carl and Helen (Duerr) Schwartz at home in Belfield on October 13, 1936. She grew up in Dickinson attending St. Joe’s grade school and Dickinson Public High. Peg pursued a career in nursing in Bismarck, becoming a registered nurse and working extensively in emergency and surgery care. Later she moved back to Dickinson to be closer to family and assist her mother, Helen. She continued nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Richardton Hospital, and finally at ABLE, Inc.

Peg loved being with family and friends and had a soft spot in her heart for pets. There was a special bond between Peg and her two sisters, especially Carol who devoted herself to assisting Peg in her later years. Peg was fiercely independent, having never married. She was always current with world events and opinionated, yet Peg never voiced a disparaging word about anyone.

Peg is survived by her sister, Carol (Doug) Pfau; three brothers, Jack (Joanne), Carl (Shannon), and James (Darlene) Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elizabeth; brother, William Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Willard Wock.
