A Liturgy of Word Service Outside of Mass for Agnes will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Fr. Taras Miles officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 P.M., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Agnes was born to Peder and Solveig (Johanssen) Enderud on February 28, 1929. She graduated from Watford City High School and Dickinson State College and held a long career as a Legal Secretary working for the law firms of Murtha, Baird, and Senn.

Agnes and Gordon operated a successful cattle ranch and farm north of Dickinson. Mom was an avid gardener who loved the sun and planted many a flower to endure the relentless North Dakota wind. She loved to sing and dance, sew beautiful quilts, and embroider dish towel sets for her kids and grandkids. She kept a host of wild birds well-fed during the cold winter months. Plus, she cooked 3 meals a day for her family! How did she do it?! We will always be amazed by her incredible multitasking!

Above all, she loved her family and every day gave each of us unconditional love. If wealth is measured by those who love you, Mom was rich. She was gentle, kind, tough, and loving. Agnes will be missed, but never forgotten.

Mom’s life is celebrated by her children Jeff (Robin), Jackie (Sean), Dave (Rita), Doug (Mary), James (Kathy), five grandchildren, six great-grandkids and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Agnes is also survived by her sister Pearl Gauer, Havre, Mont.; and a brother-in-law, Willard Schnell, Dickinson.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Ridl; her sisters Judy, (Frank) Ferreira, Swana Schnell, Sylvia (Hans) Karlstadt; brother Palmer (Effie) Enderud; and brother-in-law, John Gauer.

The family wants to especially thank the loving and caring staff at St. Benedict’s Health Center- God bless you. We love you, Mom!
