Albert Decker, 68, Dickinson, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Albert’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., and Deacon Ralph Stockert presiding.

Albert was born November 14, 1940 near Daglum, the son of Jerome and Anna (Binstock) Decker. He was raised and educated in the Daglum area.

Albert married Martha (Miller) Olheiser on July 6, 1981 in Dickinson. He worked in various locations prior to becoming a custodian with the Dickinson Public Schools. Albert remained with the public schools for roughly 25 years when he retired in May of 2004.

Albert loved spending time with his grandchildren, working in the garden, going fishing and traveling, some woodworking and most recently doing machine embroidery. He belonged to the St. Anthony Club.

Albert is survived by his wife, Martha; nine children, Clem Decker, Killdeer, Rick (Deb) Decker, Westminster, Colo., Shelly (Mitch) Dachtler, Bismarck, Cindi Decker, Dickinson, Calvin Olheiser, Belfield, Kurt (Coleen) Olheiser, Evanston, Wyo., Lynn (Bruce) Kempf, Barnum, Minn., Darla (Keith) Kadrmas, Dunn Center, and Keith G. Olheiser, Dickinson; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Anton (Irene) Decker, Dickinson, Art (Donna) Decker, South Heart, Martin (JoAnn) Decker, Dickinson, Martha (Steve) Hondl, Dickinson, and Eva (Ben) Messer, Richardton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one grandchild.
