Allan J. Hutton, 71, Richardton, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Memorial services for Allan will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Dan Freed officiating. Military honors will follow the service and be provided by the Dickinson Honors Team. Inurnment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday.

Allan John Hutton was born September 6, 1940 in Rolla, the son of Jack “John” and Olga (Huovila) Hutton. He was raised and educated in Rugby. Following high school he entered the United States Army and served honorably from November 25, 1958 to February 12, 1962. Returning to North Dakota, he began Hutton Construction in Souris and built homes in the area.

Allan married Sharon (Lundgren) Roberts on May 25, 1979 in Glasgow, Mont., and moved to Belfield in 1980. Allan went to work for Black Hills Trucking in the oil fields, and then drove semis over the road for many years. In 2006 they moved to Richardton where they have lived since.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and pool, and family barbecue’s. He belonged to several 8-Ball Pool leagues.
