Alvina Dassinger was born April 7, 1945 on the family farm in rural Lefor, ND. to John and Susie (Lampl) Dassinger. Alvina was raised on the farm and attended school in Lefor. After completing her education her family sold the farm and moved to Dickinson. While living in Dickinson, Alvina worked as a waitress at numerous eating establishments. Because she enjoyed being around people, this was the perfect job for her. Alvina married Harlen Heinle on April 10, 1964.
In her spare time, Alvina could be found quilting, working needlepoint, or tending her flower garden. She also enjoyed camping and just relaxing in the sun. Time with her grandchildren was very special to Alvina as she was very proud of each one of them.
Alvina is survived by her husband, Harlen; five children, Susan (Allen) Fettig, Mandan, ND, Doreen Hondl, Superior, WI, Duane Heinle, Elaine Heinle, and Ivan Heinle, all of Dickinson; two sister, Alice Olheiser, Dickinson and Delores Reisenauer, Bismarck, ND; two brothers, Johnny (Dorothy) Dassinger, Dickinson, and Charlie Dassinger, South Heart, ND and nine grandchildren, David, Nicholas, Marcus, Zachary, Stephanie, Devin, Gavin, Ashley, and Caden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Frank Dassinger.
