Arlene C. Koller, 77, Gladstone, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her home. Arlene’s funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Pastor James Koller officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Arlene C. Arnold was born April 13, 1937 on the family farm near Gladstone, the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Pfeifer) Arnold. She was raised and educated in the Gladstone area, having attended school in Gladstone, and then earning her LPN Degree from the nursing school at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Arlene married Henry W. Koller on July 25, 1957 at Gladstone, and together they farmed and raised their family near Gladstone. She had also during this time worked as a nurse at St. Benedict’s, Evergreen, and St. Luke’s. She enjoyed working in the garden, quilting, reading, cooking, canning and baking.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Henry; their five children, Bonnie (Dion) Jacobs, Bemidji, Minn., Linda (Linda) Privratsky, Dickinson, James (Becky) Koller, Marion, S.D., Lyle (Linda) Koller, Dickinson, and Sally Mehlhaff, Groton, S.D.; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three half-siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and several half-siblings.
