Arlene M. Huff, 86, Dickinson, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Arlene’s Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with her grandson, Pastor David Hegstad officiating.

Arlene May was born June 11, 1930 at Morgan City, Ala., the daughter of Claude and Reba Pearl (McAnally) May. She was raised and educated in Alabama and Mississippi. Arlene went on to earn a BS Degree in Nursing, receiving an RN Degree in Birmingham, Ala. She worked in the nursing field throughout her life.

Following retirement, Arlene moved to Dickinson in 1992 to be closer to family. She loved being a foster grandparent at Lincoln Elementary, where she would help students with their reading. She especially cherished her time spent with her family.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Dave) Hegstad, Ishpeming, Mich., and Nancy Capitano, Tampa, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Carol Coleman, Dickinson; sister, Joyce Vance, Beaufort, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant brothers; son, Bobby Coleman; daughter, Gloria West; and great-grandson, Reese Coleman.
