Arlis Kling January 15, 1943 - August 3, 2024

Arlis Kling, 81, formerly of Dunn Center, died peacefully August 3, 2024 at the Hilltop Home of Comfort, Killdeer, in his sleep. There will be a private graveside service with interment at Vang Lutheran Cemetery, Dunn Center.

Arlis Rodney Kling was born January 15, 1943. His parents were Wallace Kling and Ida Iverson.  He grew up on the family farm SE of Dunn Center. Arlis lost his father in 1959 and mother in 1980.

He stayed on the home place and continued to farm and ranch until he sold out in 1999. Arlis moved to Dunn Center where he enjoyed small town living and had many friends.  He had a fall in 2013 in which he broke his hip and entered the Hilltop Home of Comfort in Killdeer.

Arlis spent the last 11 years at the Hilltop and enjoyed the people he could visit with as well as the caring staff there too. Arlis loved farming, ranching and horses. He was a hard worker and will be missed by many. 

Arlis is survived by his brother, Roger Kling, Fargo, ND, daughter, Pamela Kling, Lakeville, MN, son, Darin Kling, Chandler, AZ, son Terald Kling (Tiffany), Frederick, CO. and 2 grandchildren, Avery and Ellie. He is predeceased by his sisters, Lorene, Wilma, Gayle, and brothers, Harlin and Gary.
