Arnold L. Fisher was born July 16, 1926 in Dickinson, the son of Anton and Albina (Veverka) Fisher. He was raised and educated in the Versippi area, having attended Versippi grade school until the 8th grade. He then worked with his dad and brothers, together they started Fisher’s Sand and Gravel.

Arnold was united in marriage to Ann Rebensdorf on September 3, 1958, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. With Ann by his side, he followed his true passion of raising cattle. Together they raised four children, and he showed his family by example a strong work ethic. Arnold remained active on the farm throughout his retirement years.

He enjoyed the simple things in life, deer hunting, day trips with Ann, and traveling to visit his family. He did belong to the Versippi School Board, and the Knights of Columbus.

Arnold is survived by his four children, Renata (Steven) Rising, Gilbert, Ariz., Joe Fisher, Morrison, Colo., Doug (Emily) Fisher, Dickinson, and Cynthia (Mike) Marshalek, Plymouth, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Rachel Rising, Brandi Rising, Jennifer Fisher, Lisa Fisher, Phillip Fisher, Alexis Marshalek, Mikayla Marshalek and Evan Marshalek; one brother, Jordan (Darlene) Fisher, Dickinson; and one sister-in-law, Sheila Fisher, Tempe, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann on September 25, 2013; his parents; and brother, Gene Fisher.
