Arnold Victor Holli, 90, Dickinson, died on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. A Graveside Service with Military Honors and Inurnment will be held 1 p.m. CT, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Memorial Park South, Grand Forks.

Arnold Victor Holli was born on April 28, 1933, the son of Carl Oscar and Elna Lydia (Viitanen) Holli, in his farmhouse near Iron, MN. He was raised and educated in the Cherry Township area. In his early years he worked as a newspaper carrier, city meter reader, and in the iron mines.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and serviced B47 bomber armament and radar. While in the Air Force, he married his high school sweetheart, Helen Marie Antilla on June 18, 1955 in Hibbing, MN. Arnold went on to get a degree as an Engineering Technician and worked for more than 35 years at KBM, Inc. in Grand Forks until his retirement.

After his retirement, he moved to Bismarck. Arnold was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Knapp Johnston on December 1, 2001. He spent 22 years working in the in the LDS Temple.

Arnold was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was devoted to church service. He was also very proud of his Finnish heritage.

Arnold is survived by his children, Diane Janelle (John) Miller, Albany, OR, Doreen Janette Loos, Minneapolis, MN, Daniel Jay (Arlene) Holli, Dickinson, and Denise JoAnne Holli, Grand Forks; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Marie Antilla; second wife, Barbara Louise Knapp Johnston; daughter, Deborah “Debbi” Jean Holli; his parents; brother, Edwin Carl Holli; and granddaughter, Amanda Rose Fewless.
