Arthur “Art” Moe, 62, Dickinson, ND, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Arthur’s funeral service will be at 10 a.m. CDT, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the First Lutheran Church, Tioga, ND with Rev. Sandra Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at the Dickinson Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Tioga American Legion Post #139 following the service. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Arthur “Art” Elroy Moe was born April 26, 1945 at Stanley, ND the son of Elmer and Julia (Berg) Moe. He was raised on a farm outside of Tioga, ND and graduated from Tioga High School. He was later drafted to the United States Army where he was stationed at St. Leonardwood, MO. Art then served his tour of duty during the Vietnam War. Soon after returning from Vietnam, in 1968, he married Victoria “Vicky” Schiele. From this marriage Art and Vicky had a daughter, Sheri Lynn and a son Brent Arthur.

Art was employed as a welder for Webb Stout and eventually started his own business, “Arts Welding”. Several years later he was employed as a Production Foreman for Petro Hunt Oil Company where he was a valued employee.

In 1992, Art and Vicky were transferred to Dickinson, ND to continue his work with Petro Hunt. Art retired a number of years later.

He enjoyed many things in life: spending time with his beautiful granddaughters, hunting, fishing, bowling, and most of all, working. No matter what, he was always the best he could be.

Art is survived by his ex-wife Vicky, Dickinson; two children, Sheri Gohrick and her fianceé, Darryl Binstock, Dickinson, and Brent (Stacy) Moe, Tioga; three granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Makenzie, Paige and Shantell Gohrick all of Dickinson; two brothers, John (Linda) Moe, White Earth, ND, and Randy Moe, Tioga; five sisters, his twin sis Arlene (who he adored) (Darryl) Krebs, Zimmerman, MN, Linda (Jerry) Saulsbury, Las Vegas, NV, Erma (Mike) Fifer, Sidney, MT, Margie (Frank) Gerzina, Ostego, MN, and Kristy (Doug) Lawson, Devils Lake, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernie and Eddie; three sisters, Connie O’Cain, JulieAnn Moe, and infant Karen Moe; two nephews, Eugene Moe and Joshua Elmer Moe; and last but not least all of his many friends.

Art will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on forever in our hearts.
