Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Ehresmann, 79, Dickinson, passed away Saturday July 27, 2024 in Bismarck, surrounded by family. Bobbi’s Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Ladbury Funeral Service in Dickinson with a Gathering at Fluffy Fields Winery to follow. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at a future date.

Bobbi was born on February 26, 1945 in Dickinson, daughter of John and Eva (Reindel) Ehresmann. Bobbi graduated from Dickinson Central High School on May 20, 1963 and soon after moved to the Washington D.C. area. Bobbi married Pvt. Richard Skinner, USMC on April 6, 1966, sadly Richard gave his life to the service of his country in Vietnam on August 10, 1966.

While in Washington D.C. Bobbi worked for the United States Department of Defense. Later Bobbi moved the Birmingham, Alabama area, eventually settling in her dream home “The Mountain” in Remlap, Alabama. Bobbi graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice Degree and later went to work as a United States Deputy U.S. Marshal. Bobbi later went on to work for Spain & Gillon in Birmingham until her retirement.

In Bobbi’s spare time she enjoyed doing charity work, raising thousands of dollars for the Children’s Hospital and her local Boy Scout troops. Bobbi enjoyed passing time doing crafts, collecting knick knacks, and trips to the casino with her dearest friends. In 2020, Bobbi sold her dream home in the mountains of Alabama and moved back home to North Dakota to be closer to family. Over the past years, Bobbi built memories for a lifetime with so many people that will dearly miss her, she always lived her life, her way, and with no regrets!

Bobbi is survived by her sister, Kathlene (Ehresmann) Ward; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Skinner; parents, John and Eva (Reindel) Ehresmann; brother, John Ehresmann Jr.; sister-in-law, Carol (Singer) Ehresmann; and numerous aunts and uncles.
