Visitation with family and friends for Barbara Hauck, 76 of Enid, Okla., will be 2-4 p.m. was Wednesday in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Fr. Marvin Klemmer as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Dickinson.
Barbara was born March 23, 1938 in Dickinson, the daughter of Nick and Pearl (Fedora) Marczuk, and died unexpectedly in her sleep at home Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Enid. She was a masterful seamstress all her life. Over the past 20 years, she was employed at Enid Floral where she never knew a stranger and created a bond with every customer that walked through the door.
On October 23, 1955, she married Ed Hauck in Dickinson. She had a contagious personality and was a very giving person who was a friend to all. Affectionately known as “Nana”, she lived for her six grandchildren. Devoted and loving to them, she never missed a holy sacrament, sporting event, graduation or even the celebration of one lost tooth. Barbara was an avid and knowledgeable sports fan but also enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and living life to the fullest.
Barbara was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; Newcomers Club and a fervent volunteer for Garfield County Election Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother and brothers, Louie and Carl.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ed; three daughters, Pamela (Bob) Schank and daughter, Melissa of Bismarck; Janelle (Tom) Gunderson and children, Jeremy, Austin and Macy of Bismarck; Michele (John) Gorder and sons, Alex and Michael of Eagan, Minn.; sister, Redgie Bohnet of Fargo; and brother, Michael (Evelyn) Marczuk of Eugene, Ore.
Memorial contributions can be given to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
