Barbara (Roth) Kubischta, 81, Dickinson, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Barbara’s funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hillside Baptist Church, Dickinson with Rev. Ronald Gold officiating, interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.

Barbara Luithle was born June 11, 1933 on the family farm near Burt to Albert and Rosina (Walth) Luithle. Barbara was raised on the farm and attended country schools in the Burt area. After completing her education she stayed on the farm and continued helping until she married Gottlieb J. Roth on September 29, 1954. Barbara and Gottlieb moved to his farm south of Hebron where they lived and worked together until moving to Dickinson in 1967. After moving to Dickinson, Barbara worked for Dan’s Country Market. Following Gottlieb’s death in 1976, Barbara met and married Edward Kubischta on April 9, 1983 at Hillside Baptist Church, Dickinson.

Barbara grew up in a musical family where she developed the love for playing the guitar and singing. She also had a special gift of hospitality and loved sharing her baked goods and cooking creations. Barbara was a member of Hillside Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of Women’s Missionary Fellowship.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward; three children, Doris (Gerald) Unruh, Myron (Karla) Roth, and Sandy (Jeff) Osborn; two step-children, Jolene (Michael) Williams and Jonathon Kubischta; two sisters, Rose Opp and Delora Schroeder; one brother, Albert (Pearl) Luithle; six grandchildren, Julie (Robert) Sabo, Jennifer (Nathan) Roades, Sara (Patrick) Rogers, Zach (Riana) Roth, and Tristen and Troy Osborn; one step-grandchild, Cody Larsen; six great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gottlieb and her parents.
