Bette Reneé Brodman, 73, Dickinson, died Saturday, June 10, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Funeral Services for Reneé will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Dickinson with Rev. Dick Rinearson officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation will be Thursday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Visitation will continue Friday, one hour prior to services at the church.

Bette Reneé Lawrence was born September 28, 1943, Glendive, Mont., daughter of John and Betty Mae Lawrence. She was raised and educated in the Wibaux area. She was united in marriage to David Brodman, October 5, 1962.

David and Reneé made their home in the Dickinson area, where she cooked for many years, starting at the Versippi School, Western Grill and Wendy’s. In her 50’s, she continued her education at Dickinson State University. She then became a night auditor for a local hotel. In her late 60’s, through the Experience Works program she went to work for the Forest Service in Dickinson.

She enjoyed crocheting, rummage sales, reading and cherished spending time with her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Bahley; two grandchildren, Mandy (Rod) Burman, Dickinson, Jared (Krista Cummings) Bahley, Mesa, Ariz.; eight great-grandchildren, four siblings , Carole Tasker, Worden, Mont., Gary (Susan) Lawrence, Wibaux, Mont., Terri (John) Peterson, Kenmare, and Tempa (Jay) Grigsby, Grayling, Mich.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Brodman on June 17, 2004; brother, David Lawrence and infant sister, Susan Lawrence.
