Betty Ann Hurinenko, 74, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Sanford Health, West Fargo. Betty Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. William Ruelle as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a Rosary and Vigil at 6 p.m. on Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon All Schwindt presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday at the church.
Elizabeth Ann Hartman was born January 19, 1947 in Dickinson to Leo and Clementine (Haag) Hartman. She attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Trinity High School in 1965, this was the first graduation class at Trinity High School. Following high school Betty Ann attended Bismarck Junior College and received her Secretary/Business certification. She met Roger Hurinenko and they were married on November 8, 1968.
She went to work at Consolidated Cooperative where she worked for 10 years. After that time, Betty Ann and Roger decided this was a good time and opportunity for her to stay home as a fulltime homemaker and mother for their three children.
In 1987, Betty Ann started working for Stark County Social Services in the Administrative Services department. She retired in 2009 with 22 years of service.
Betty Ann filled her days with things she loved the most, reading, cooking, baking, sci-fi movies, polka music, and Iced Coffees. She was an avid reader and always had several books going, she loved the trips to Bismarck so she could visit the library. She encouraged everyone to have a library card because she believed reading was an important life skill. She enjoyed cooking and baking, her freezer was always filled with baked goods made with love for her family.
Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, she was so very proud of them and loved to share stories and words of wisdom with them.
Betty Ann was a true friend to everyone. She always had a smile and warm heart greeting for everyone she would meet. Every greeting card she sent to someone, she spent time making it thoughtful and added wonderful heartfelt messages. Betty Ann will be greatly missed by all those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of 53 years; children, Daniel, Dickinson, Jennifer Weixel, St. Petersberg, FL, and Patrick, Dickinson; grandchildren, Skylar Weixel, Carter Weixel both of St. Petersberg and Preston Weixel, Chicago, IL; sister, Monica (Curtiss) Forster; and sister-in-law, Nancy Hartman, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Laurence and Hilary Hartman.
