Betty Kubischta, 87, Dickinson, died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at her home with family by her side. Betty’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2024 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Msgr. Thomas Richter as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Rosary and Vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Leonard Krebs presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Friday.

Betty Schwindt was born on December 24, 1936 in Killdeer to Albert Sr. and Helen (Faiman) Schwindt. She went to school in Killdeer until age six then they moved to Dickinson where she attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Dickinson.

Betty married Alex Kubischta on January 31, 1955 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson and they were blessed with four children, Roger, Gary, Donald, and Jeanette. They lived in Dickinson all their married life.

She enjoyed vacations, dancing, word search, puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Gary, Donald (Tami) Kubischta and Jeanette (Andy) Fiedler, all of Dickinson; six grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Witte, Dickinson, Chris (Aaron) Molbert, Dickinson, Mitchell (Gue Hee) Kubischta, Dickinson, Kole (Teirney) Fiedler, Dickinson, Jessica (Ernesto) Llaurador, Puerto Rico, Shane (Megan) Kubischta, Dickinson; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Witte, Alie and Bree Molbert, Kina and Rana Kubischta, Nora Kubischta, Rhyann and Ridley Handford, all of Dickinson; sister, Darlene (Allen) Praus; sister-in-law, Josephine Schmidt; brother-in-law, Richard Fix; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, on September 26, 2014; son, Roger; parents, Albert, and Helen Schwindt; sister, Martha Mary; brothers, Albert Jr. (Pauline) Schwindt, Tony (Beata) Schwindt, and Francis Fix; brothers-in-law, Arnold Schmidt, and John (Gladys) Kubischta; grandparents, uncles and aunts.
