Bobbie Ketterling, 77, New England, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home. Bobbie’s funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 2 p.m., at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, New England, with Pastor Janel Kolar officiating. Interment will follow at the New England Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Roberta Colgrove was born October 4, 1933 at Mott, the daughter of Edgar W. and Fern (Auckland) Colgrove. She was raised and educated in Regent and New England, graduating from New England Public High School.

Bobbie married Michael A. Jung on January 11, 1953 at Reeder. They farmed seven miles south of New England until the death of Michael in February of 1982. She spent the next seven years working at various jobs throughout the area. Bobbie married Larry G. Ketterling on May 27, 1989 at Reeder. They drove truck and worked construction until the early 2000’s, when Bobbie retired, and they made their home in New England.

Bobbie enjoyed working on ceramics, attending sporting events, watching NASCAR, traveling, attending flea markets, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, and the New England Congregational Church.

Bobbie is survived by her husband, Larry, New England; her son Brian (Del Rae) Jung, New England; daughter-in-law, Gwen Lefor, Gladstone; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol (Daryl) Jung, New England, Linda Peterman, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Linell Patchin, Joplin, Mo.; sister-in-law, Avis Colgrove, Fort Lupton, Colo.; many nieces and nephews; and her special companion, Scooter. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Michael; son, Leland Jung; parents; step-mother, Avis Colgrove; brother, Larry Colgrove; and brothers-in-law, Ron Boldt and Jake Patchin.
