Brad O. Blade, 52, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Brad’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Josh Epperly as officiant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Bradley Olaf Blade was born April 25, 1972 in Aberdeen, SD, the son of Victor and Maxine (Hokstad) Blade. He was raised in Hettinger from sixth grade until graduation from Hettinger High School in 1990.

He attended Wyoming Tech where he received a certificate of completion in Autobody Repair. He worked on a ranch for a period of time prior to beginning a construction job. He eventually relocated to Belfield in 1999 and began a career in the oilfield with James Oilwell Service.

Brad competed in wrestling while in high school and later dart leagues. He enjoyed fishing, attending Derbies and mud runs, and especially spending time with his family and friends.

While in Belfield, he struck up a relationship with Kristie Dutchak which lasted until the time of his death.

Brad is survived by his companion, Kristie Dutchak; siblings, Ian (Carla) Blade, Cherri (Steve) Hendricks, and Justin (Christy Henderson) Blade; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; step-father, Dennis Markley; step-sister, Jennifer Garza; step-brother, Dennis Markley, Jr.; an endless number of friends and coworkers; and his special fur friends, Monster and Nova.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Markley; father, Victor Blade; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
