Brian Keith Richardson August 6, 1966 - May 13, 2019

Date of Funeral

Thursday, May 30, 2019

Brian Keith Richardson, 52, Regent, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Monday, May 13, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Brian Keith Richardson was born August 6, 1966 to Gerald and Joyce (Thompson) Richardson in Tipton, Ind. He moved from Texas to North Dakota in the fall of 2018.

He grew up in Kokomo, Ind. And in Danville, Ill., then moving to Havre, Mont., graduating from Havre High School in 1984. He attended college in Havre and Green River College in Auburn, Wash. He lived in many places before coming to N.D.

He worked as a general contractor in many states, working on dams, high rises, and commercial buildings in every area of expertise. He also loved selling cars in several dealerships, preferring classic and luxury cars. He had a business called Trunited and worked on the stock market.

Brian enjoyed camping, BBQ grilling, shopping for things that had meaning for his life, his love of watches, (of which he gave many away) and was particularly interested in airplanes (hoping to own one someday) and he had a new found love of Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was firm in his support and love of the Seahawks Football League and stood with them unashamably.

He was definitely a people person who loved to talk to anyone. His ministry and big heart was geared to the unlovely, downtrodden, castaways and people who needed a “hand up”, whom he hoped to help find purpose and support in their life choices.

In 2008, he met the love of his life, Jodi Lundstrom, and they were married. She survived him plus two of his children and four children from a previous marriage.

Preceding him in death was his son, Marcus Richardson; his father, Gerald Richardson; his grandmothers, Caroline Richardson and Marie Thompson; his grandfather, Gerald “Jerry” Richardson; his uncles, Richard “Dick” Richardson and Kenneth “Billy” Richardson; and aunt, Jerryann Richardson.

Survivors are his mother, Joyce (Thompson) Richardson, Regent; his wife, Jodi (Lundstrom) Richardson, Regent; sister, Dawn (Richardson) Carlton, Ore.; grandfather, Leonard Thompson, N.D.; brother-in-law, Earl (Rich) Carlton; uncles, Keith Richardson, Mont., Herman Gebert, Mont., Lary Swanson, Calif; children, Ashley Richardson, N.M.; step-children, Amber (Bertelsen), Britton, N.M,, Touchana Lundstrom, Ore.; Jesse Lundstrom, Ore., Jeremiah Lundstrom, Ore.
