Carol Ann Weidner, 63, Beach, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson following a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service for Carol will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Golden Valley Manor Chapel, Beach, followed by a luncheon served by the American Legion Auxiliary.
Carol Ann was born in Beach on November 11, 1947 to Herman and Evelyn (McDonald) Schieffer. She grew up in Beach and graduated from Beach High School.
Carol Ann worked at the Golden Valley Sheriffs Office for 23 years, starting as a dispatcher and then promoted to office deputy. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 21 years.
Carol Ann married Albert Weidner on January 23, 1967. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Michael Schieffer and Bernard Schieffer.
Carol Ann is survived by her husband, Albert; three sons, Herman (Lisa) Weidner, Mike Weidner and Jay Weidner; four grandchildren, Megan, Brock, Allester and Kitana; and two sisters-in-law, Gloria Schieffer and Judy Schieffer.
