Cheryl Weigum, 74, Belfield, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Abiding by Cheryl’s wishes there will be no services held.
Cheryl Roten was born January 4, 1938 in Nebraska the daughter of Steve and Nelly (Dewey) Roten. She was united in marriage to Vernon Weigum on November 28, 1953 in Marysville, Kan. Together they farmed and at the same time Cheryl worked as a bartender at Arnie’s Place in South Heart.
She loved to read and work on crossword puzzles.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Jay (Doretta) Weigum, Belfield; two grandsons, Jason (partner, Maverick Montez) Weigum, and Justin Weigum; two great-grandchildren, Angel and Jadin Weigum; and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, on July 26, 2011; her parents; son, Vernon, Jr.; two brothers; and six sisters.
