Christian M. “Chris” Dolajak, 43, Dickinson, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Dickinson. A funeral service for Chris will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Brian Davidson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Dickinson American Legion Post 3 Honor Guard.
Christian M. Dolajak was born September 4, 1976 in Dickinson, the son of Char Olheiser. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, having graduated from DHS in 1995. He was in the National Guard from 1994 to 2006.
Chris was united in marriage to Jeanna Zayden on November 15, 2003 in Dickinson. He owned and operated Dolajak Flooring for 20 years and most recently worked as a lease operator in the oilfield for Oxy and Lime Rock Resources.
Chris belonged to Dickinson Darts. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, grilling and camping. His family was his life and he especially loved to spend time with his girls.
Chris is survived by his wife, Jeanna; daughters, Justice (Ben Douthit) Dolajak, Fargo and Daijah Dolajak, Dickinson; Mom and Dad, Char and Fred Pilot. in-laws, Joe and Charlie Zayden; brother-in-law, Joey (Cristin) Zayden; siblings, Theresa (Earl) Shear, Gladstone, Robert Pilot, Dickinson, Mariah Pilot, Dickinson and Dusty (Heith) Pinske, Deadwood, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lance and Steven Dolajak; step-brother, Fred Pilot; uncles, Kevin, George, Ron and Danny Olheiser; cousin, Keith Olheiser; aunt, Bonnie Olheiser; grandparents, Ralph and Irene Olheiser, Mike and Margaret Dolajak.
