Clifford W. Keithley, 70, Dickinson died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Springerville, Ariz. as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident. There will be visitation from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the family present to greet friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a private family service at a later date.

Clifford was born January 30, 1938 at Sedan, Kansas the son of William and Lela Grace (Stafford) Keithley. On June 6, 1961 he married Nancy Lewis in Bismarck. Together they owned and operated Scenic Sign Company for 41 years.

Cliff was a Master Mason, long time member of the EL ZAGEL Shrine, the Rotary Club, life time member of the Elks, and he was very active in the Jaycees from local to state president, and National Vice President in 1970-1971. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, fishing, teaching his grandchildren how to snow ski and golfing. After 41 years in the sign industry Cliff and Nancy enjoyed living in Mesa, Ariz. for the winter months, where they spent time with friends and enjoyed ballroom dancing. Cliff especially enjoyed having his precious great-granddaughter Halle over, who held a special place in his heart and filled the house with joy and laughter.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Nancy; their son, Terry Wayne (Michele) Keithley, Dickinson; grandchildren, Kelly, Kristy and Mark Keithley; special great-granddaughter and Cliff’s buddy, Halle; and three siblings, Elaine Moore, Kan., Don (Mary) Keithley, S.D., and Diane Hahn, Wyo.. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a memorial established at Dickinson State University for a student majoring in Business.
