Connie Torstenson, 57, Gladstone, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. A Memorial Service for Connie will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Rev. Janel Kolar officiating.

Connie Eslinger was born August 16, 1958 at Minot, the daughter of LeRoy and Lenora (Kurtz) Eslinger. She was raised and educated in the Garrison and Minot areas.

Connie was united in marriage to Tomas Torstenson on February 14, 1979. They made Gladstone their home. She had gone to school to become a heavy equipment operator and settled in working for Royal Oak Industries, until an injury required her to stop working.

She enjoyed bowling, fishing, yard work, walking the dog, attending stock car races, and coaching childrens softball teams. Connie cherished her grandchildren and spending time with her children. She enjoyed holidays with her family around, and especially the past several months spending time with her daughter, Julie. She liked Gladstone and working with the committee for “Happy Rock Days”.

Connie is survived by her husband, Tom, Gladstone; two children, Julie Jesfjeld, Bismarck, and Tomas Val Torstenson, II, Dickinson; two grandchildren, Aspen Torstenson and Diamond Jesfjeld; and two siblings, Brenda (Daryl) Abelstad, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Donald (Arlene) Eslinger, Minot. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Daniel Eslinger, Sharyl Fix, and Walter Eslinger.
