Connie Renee Sand was born April 14, 1958, daughter of Leo Sand and Frieda Klein in Dickinson. She grew up in Dickinson and Richardton. Connie attended school in Richardton. After school, Connie went to work as a CNA at the Dickinson Nursing Home. During that time, Connie met her husband Terry Werlinger of 41 years and to this union two amazing sons were born, Chad and Jason. Jason’s development of cancer and treatment was what brought them to Covington, Wash. where he later passed. Their son Chad graduated from and moved back to their home state of North Dakota. Connie and Terry created a wonderful life with each other in Covington. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her friends included many people, of those some of her favorites were the ones she worked with on a daily basis. Connie’s passion was the kids that she cared for and nurtured for many years. During this time, she developed many long lasting relationships with both the children and the parents. Connie was very loved by all who knew her.
Connie enjoyed life to the fullest. She was the life of the party, beloved by all. She loved going out to her favorite spots, as evidenced by the server who gave hugs at her passing. Connie’s greatest love was her family but equally for her day care families & the children she cared for on a regular basis. Connie gave, whole heartedly, to the children she cared for and their parents.
Connie is survived by husband Terry Werlinger, son, Chad Werlinger; father Leo (Diane) Sand; mother, Frieda Klein; brothers, Leon (Sandy) Sand, Dale (Tom) SandPepera; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Large, Cherie Steffan, Jeannie Klein (Ron Mjanger); & numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
