Services for Daniel H. Sticka, 59, of Fargo, will be 4 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date. Dan passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his residence in Fargo.

He was born on August 22, 1957, the son of Marjorie (Jablonsky) Sticka and the late Henry Sticka. Dan attended Trinity High School, graduating in 1976. He spent most of his adult life working in the construction industry at various jobs in Dickinson and in the Fargo area.

Dan was a kind hearted person who enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Broncos fan and quite often you would see him wearing Broncos gear. Like his mother, he loved to read and do word puzzles.

Dan is survived by his two children, son Jamie Sticka and his children Aidan, Elliott and Kathryn of Fargo and daughter Jackie (Dean) Winczewski and their children Andrew, Aric, and Alex of Minot; his mother, Marjorie “Marge” Sticka of Dickinson; sisters Jane (Kenny) Heiser, Dickinson and Karen (Clark Fuchs) Lewis of Bismarck. Preceding him in death was his father, Henry Sticka and his grandparents.

A person’s life may be a lonely thing by nature, but it is not isolated. To that life many others are linked. Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it.
