Darryl E. Frank, 56, New England, died on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home. Darryl’s Liturgy of Word Service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2024 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Fr. Dennis Schafer presiding. Military Honors will be provided by the New England American Legion Anton Ulijohn Post 66. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Darryl Edwin Frank was born October 28, 1967 to Lawrence and Geraldine (Krieger) Frank in Dickinson. He grew up on the family farm in Slope County. He attended St. Mary’s Grade and High School, having graduated in 1985. Upon graduation, he joined the National Guard, serving for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. He attended ND State College of Science in Wahpeton becoming a welder. Over the years, he was employed by Koffler Manufacturing, Steffes Manufacturing, a workover rig for a short time and Walmart.
Farm life was calling him and it was at this time that he began working for himself and building his future as a farmer. He enjoyed country living with all it had to offer, especially his cattle. He loved to take the time to play with any cat that came along his path. This is how he spent his final days.
Darryl is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Geraldine Frank, New England; siblings, Cindy (Kerry) Rustan, Farmington, MN, Danette (Jason) Gault, Anderson, MO, Carol (Craig) Else, Fridley, MN, Kaye Enderud, Dickinson, and Kyle (Kyra) Frank, Amidon; 11 nephews, four nieces, one great-nephew; and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jonathan; grandparents, Henry and Mary (Weber) Krieger, Philip and Catherine (Binstock) Frank; two aunts; and two uncles.
