David C. Frank, 65, New England, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Dave’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New England, with Fr. Biju Chitteth as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the New England American Legion Anton Ulijohn Post 66. Visitation will be on Monday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue at the church on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.

David C. Frank was born September 13, 1949 in Dickinson, the son of Frank S. and Rose (Hagel) Frank. He was raised and educated in New England, graduating from New England St. Mary’s High School in 1967.

Dave was united in marriage to Lucinda “Lucy” Rustan on December 22, 1970 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He served honorably in the United States Army from August 13, 1970 to February 15, 1972, having been stationed in Oklahoma and Texas. Upon his discharge Dave and Lucy returned to New England and he began a 25 year career as the head custodian for the St. Mary’s school. He then spent the next 15 years working for the City of New England.

He was on the volunteer fire department, and had served as the Chief for a few years. He enjoyed playing softball, going fishing, and traveling.

Dave is survived by his three children, Jennifer (Chris) Liden, Thief River Falls, Minn., Jarad Frank, Glendive, Mont., and Mark Frank, New England; one grandson, Liam Liden; four siblings, Ed (Marge) Frank, Lincoln, Josephine Wosepka, Vancouver, Wash., Willie (Val) Frank, Hettinger, and Aaron Frank, Dickinson; sister-in-law, Karen Frank, New England; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy on September 10, 2011; his parents; and two brothers, Al and Ernie Frank.
