David M. Wanner, 49, South Heart, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. Abiding by his wishes a private family service will be held at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

David Michael Wanner was born March 26, 1963, and grew up in Belfield with family and friends. Dave is the son of John and Marge (Diebel) Wanner, brother of Kevin (Loretta) Wanner, Nancy (Bob) Newton.

Dave graduated from Belfield High School in 1981, and worked throughout the years in the family businesses. He married Shelly Stagl on May 16, 1992.

He enjoyed the many adventures of the great outdoors, cooking the daily catch, playing cards, being the “family champ”, reading, and always a Viking fan.

Dave is survived by his mother, Marge (Herb) Wanner Heck; wife of 20 years, Shelly; stepson and his daughter, David Rohrer and Bailey; brother, Kevin (Loretta) Wanner; sister, Nancy (Bob) Newton; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wanner; sister, Linda; and brother-in-law, Alan Thompson. To family, friends and loved ones, Dave will be dearly missed, but lift up your hearts and share with him, “God wants me now, He set me free”, and I have peace.
