Dawn C. (Winn) Dubisar, 50, New England, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, following a short and courageous battle with a rare form of cancer. Dawn’s Memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Chaplain Harold Sundgren officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 8 a.m. to service time at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Dawn Colette Winn was born April 15, 1960, at Del Rio, Texas, the daughter of Byrl Thang and Joyce (Smith) Winn. When Dawn was one, her mother died and her father then married Julie Montejano. Dawn attended North Bend High School in North Bend, Ore., and then went on to a two year college. It was here that she met Charles Dubisar and soon after they married in 1982. They had three daughters, Kimberly (27), Katie (25), and Kendra (19). Dawn loved her kids and babysat many others also during this time. After the girls moved out, Dawn worked for many hotels, including Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, and the Holiday Inn, which she recently left when she became ill. She was with her loved ones until the end.

Dawn belonged to the Fireman’s Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Dawn enjoyed bowling (had participated in the National Bowling Tournament), puzzles, crosswords, reading and collecting elephants. She was always willing to help anybody in any way, and had also been a study partner for a couple of nursing students that were getting ready for their exams.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Charles; three daughters, Kimberly Ann Dubisar, Bismarck, Katie Lynn Dubisar, Dickinson, and Kendra Dawn Dubisar, Bismarck; three grandchildren, Haley Lynn Dubisar-Bollinger (5), Cameron Charles Dubisar (2), and Karson Byrl Dubisar (2); her dad and step-mom, Byrl and Julie Winn; and three sisters, Cindy Howell, Stockton, Calif., Vikki Winn, Lincoln City, Ore., and Sherri Turnupseed, Memphis, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her mother; and two brothers, Joe and Mark Winn.
