Delores E. Schroeder, 80, Dickinson died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Funeral services for Delores will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Interment will follow at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Hebron. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday with the family present to greet and visit with friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 a.m. to service time at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Delores E. Martz was born September 15, 1928 at Hebron the daughter of John and Carolina (Voegele) Martz, Sr. She was raised and educated in Hebron.

Delores married Leo Krein on October 19, 1948 and this union produced five children. She later married Raymond Schroeder on June 26, 1970. She lived in Hebron until moving to Dickinson in the early 1990’s and eventually to St. Benedict’s Health Center in April of 2002.

Delores enjoyed watching sporting events, traveling and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Delores is survived by five children, Bonnie Kasper, Dickinson, Joane Steen, Fargo, Gerald (Beth) Krein, Stevens Point, Wisc., Ronald (Theresa) Krein, Hartsville, S.C., and Mary Krein, Fargo; one brother, Glenn Martz, Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren, Ali (Shane) Kinney, Eric (Chris) Krein, Cassandra (Matthew) Fairbanks, Jonathan Krein, Stephoni (Gordon) Krance, and Patrick Kasper; nine great-grandchildren, Chase and Jarrett Kinney, Madisyn and Mason Krein, Brittni and Bayli Krance, Dillon Kasper, Isaiah Ewoniuk and Sadye Kasper; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great, grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Delbert, Wilbert and John Martz, Jr.; infant brothers, Delbert, Otto and Bernie Martz; her sisters, Viola Gagner and Mildred Kilarski; and a son-in-law, James Kasper.
