Delores M. Wanner, 87, Dickinson, died Friday, June 8, 2018 at St. Luke’s Home , Dickinson. Delores’ Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.

Delores M. Semerad was born December 10, 1930 in Dickinson, daughter of Vincent and Sophia (Faiman) Semerad. She was raised on the family farm northeast of Dickinson and was a graduate of Versippi.

Delores was united in marriage to Arnold F. Wanner on October 12, 1948 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. When they were first married they lived in Schefield and later moved into the Dickinson area.

After Arnie retired from the railroad they spent the winter months in Yuma, Ariz. During the summer, they spent time at Good Sam Rallies with their friends and loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and sisters. Another favorite time spent was taking the “sister trips” and “mother daughter trips” every year. She always had the house and food ready for the annual family Semerad Golf Tournament. Everyone was always welcome in the Wanner house and there was always coffee and cookies.

Delores was a housewife and had many interests such as gardening, baking, swimming aerobics, embroidery, taking family trips and cooking. She especially known for her cheese buttons and cookies. She was a member of Good Sam, Red Hat, Christian Mothers, and St. Anne’s Auxiliary.

Delores is survived by her children, Rodney (Barb) Wanner, Apple Valley, Minn. and Shelly (Bruce) Koppinger, Dickinson; five grandchildren, Ryan Wanner,, Colo Springs, Colo., Jake Wanner, Shakopee, Minn., Troy (Tabitha) Koppinger, Evanston, Wyo., Tyler (Lindsey) Koppinger, Madison, Wis., Rachel Koppinger, Minneapolis, Minn.; five great-grandchildren, Emma and Annabelle Wanner, Ariana Archibald and Kadence Haines, and Sebastian Koppinger; siblings, Arlys (Joe) Boespflug, Dickinson, Diane Binstock, Dickinson, and June (Jim) Kobriger, Tucson, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Jerry Willer; sisters-in-law, Diane Hibl, Minot, Bernie (Joe) Reisenauer, Bismarck, Monica Wanner, Dickinson, and Terry Wanner, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold “Arnie” Wanner, daughter, Susan Wanner, son, Curtis Wanner; her parents; sisters, Jean Willer and Gerry Badinger; and in-laws, Frank and Katie Wanner.
