Dillan M. Bloomgren, 15, Dickinson died Sunday, October 5, 2008 north of Taylor as the result of a hunting accident. Dillan’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Living Word Fellowship Church, Dickinson with Pastor Tim Voth officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday and with the family present to greet friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Dillan Michael was born October 29, 1992 in Dickinson, the son of Jason and Jean (Vincent) Bloomgren. Dillan was a very happy go lucky young man who had a great sense of humor and could lighten the mood in any room. We will miss hearing his laugh and seeing his contagious smile. He had a big heart and would help anyone who needed him.
Dillan loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was proud of his achievements in football and wrestling. Dillan was a member of the DHS freshman football team and was planning to join the wrestling team. He loved his younger brothers and enjoyed helping them with outdoor sports but also just spending time with them. He will be truly missed by all his many friends and family members.
Dillan is survived by his parents, Jason and Jean; his three brothers, Hunter, Taylor and Preston; grandparents, Sheri (John) Breen, Bowman and Judy Vincent, Beach; great-grandparents, Opal and Ernie Bloomgren, Bowman, Frieda Feldmann, Beach, and Rob Peterson, Bowman; aunts and uncles, Terry Feldmann, Dickinson, Justin and Chris Bloomgren, Buffalo, Wyo., and Jared and Cami Bloomgren, Rapid City, S.D.; his cousin, Mattie Bloomgren, Buffalo, Wyo.. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Hailee; grandfathers, George Vincent and Steve Bloomgren; and great-grandparents, Phyllis Peterson, Walter Feldmann and Charles and Sybil Vincent. Dillan will continue to live on through the giving of tissues and organs. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to a memorial fund established at American State Bank in memory of Dillan.
