Don Binstock, 76, Dickinson, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Don’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Msgr. Thomas Richter as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Military honors will be provided by the Dickinson American Legion Post 3 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.

Donald Vincent Binstock was born September 9, 1942 at Dickinson, the son of Fritz and Anna (Privratsky) Binstock. Don was raised and educated in the South Heart/Dickinson area. He served honorably in the North Dakota National Guard.

He married Marge Heiser on September 4, 1962, together they farmed near South Heart. In 1975, they bought the Heiser Family Farm north of Dickinson. Don was a full-time rancher and farmer. He also worked part-time with Western Livestock and Stockman’s Livestock, helping Lee Pavlichek combine and with CHS Agronomy. After retiring, they moved to Dickinson in 2016.

Don was a past member of the National Guard, Director of Dunn County Weed Board, Stark County Rural Fire Dept. Director, SW Water Authority Board Director and New Hradec KC Council 1515 Officer, having received numerous awards including the Knight of the Month and 4th Degree lifetime member.

He enjoyed working with cattle, rodeos, card game parties, puzzles, computer casino games, Branson Bus Tours, PBR and NFR.

Don is survived by his wife, Marge; three sons, Russ (Della), Dickinson, Cory (Nicole), Maple Grove, Minn., and Pat (Kathy) Dickinson; his mother, Anna Binstock, Dickinson; grandchildren, Heather (Dan) Orne, Brandon, Kami, Kylie, Cody Binstock, Mandy (Jason) Perius, Jeremiah Berntson, Heidi, Jamie (Sam) and Hunter Binstock; great-grandchildren, Kalyn Bohrer and Donnie Locklear; siblings, Eugene (June), Darlene (Roger) Volesky, Dennis (Michaele), Bernie (Deb), Marilyn (Clem) Dutchak, Bonnie (Mike) Galvin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley; father, Fritz Binstock; in-laws, Andy and Pauline Heiser; brothers-in-law, Don Heiser and Gary Heiser.
