Donald Edmond Shock, 80, passed away peacefully in Mandan on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Donald’s Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Rob Grunden officiating.

Donald was born in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 5, 1940 to Gerald and Rado (Haas) Shock. It is believed that Donald was one of three children.

Donald is survived by his mother-in-law, June (Olson) Hamers, sister-in-law, Kelly (Thomas) Ihde; brother-in-law, Paul and Jackie (Inglis) Hamers; nephews, Brandon Ihde and Chance Hamers; and niece, Madison Hamers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Shock; close companion, Georgianna Meduna; his parents, Gerald and Rado; and father-in-law, Cecil Hamers.

Donald was never more happy than when he was married to his wife Jayne. Donald spent his early years as a truck driver traveling the highways of the United States. He enjoyed reading the Bible, volunteering at the senior citizen’s center, and having conversations with nearly everyone.

Donald is finally at peace now that he is reunited with the love of his life, Jayne. Donald will be laid to rest, next to Jayne, in the St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ray.
