Donald W. Brugamyer, 94, Regent, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Donald’s funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Regent, with Rev. Joe Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Donald Brugamyer was born June 17, 1917 on the family farm northwest of Regent to William and Grace (Love) Brugamyer. In 1939 he met the love of his life, Edlith, at a rural school party. They were married on November 16, 1940. Donald was a loving husband and father who overcame any obstacle to provide for his family, and he strove to his last breath to stay with them.
Donald is survived by his wife, Edlith; three sons, DeGregg (Doris), Donald E. (Kristine), and Dean; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two nieces.
