Douglas Wayne Wahus, 63, Dickinson, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his home. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an Eagles Final Rites Service at 11 a.m. at the Dickinson Eagles Club.
Doug was born April 2, 1957 in Williston, the son of Lynn and Katherine (Turgi) Wahus. He graduated from Watford City High School in 1975.
Doug married Coleen Holm on August 18, 1979. They were blessed with two sons, Troy and Matthew. He worked many years in the oil fields. He was a long time member of the Dickinson Eagles Club and served as a past president and past secretary.
He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as tending to his yard and working in the garden.
Doug is survived by his son, Troy (Kayla) Wahus; granddaughters, Lilly and Katelynn all of Hudson, Wis., grandson, Preston Wahus, Dickinson; his father, Lynn Wahus, Garrison; sister, Toni (Kurtis) Kinden, Libby, Mont.; nephews, Catlin (Sarah) Kinden, Garrison and Klint (Davie) Kinden, North Pole, Alaska; and special friend, Ken “Mouse” Mosbrucker.
He was preceded in death by his son Matthew Wahus; and his mother, Kathy Wahus.
