Dwayne Lee Berry, 62, Dickinson, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at his home. There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, ND. Inurment will take place at Old Union Church Cemetery, Lawson, MO.
Dwayne Lee Berry was born August 7, 1963 in Wyandotte, KS, the son of Henry Walter and Mary Jane (Burns) Berry. He was raised and educated in Lawson, MO where he graduated from Lawson High School in 1981.
He married Kara Kirkpatrick in 1982 and to this union three children were born, Jessica, Bobby, and Christine.
He went to work for Wanzek Construction in 2005, moving to Dickinson to help build the Walmart Store. He continued to work for them until 2010. He went to work for CHS Incorporated in 2011, working there until 2022. Dwayne then went to work for KMM until his retirement in 2025.
When moving to Dickinson, he began a 21-year relationship with Brenda (Heidt) Kraiter. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, picking morel mushrooms, gardening, and riding his Harley. He loved to decorate for the different holidays.
Dwayne is survived by his longtime companion, Brenda; two daughters, Jessica (Joe) Penniston, and Christine Sapp, both of MO; eight grandchildren; his parents, Henry and Mary Jane Berry, MO; best friend, Tony “Bubba’ Cole; and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Berry; and brother, Brian Berry.
