Dylan J. Jones, 14, Dickinson, committed suicide on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Dickinson. Dylan’s Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Stravia IV officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 8 a.m. to service time.

Dylan James Jones was born February 11, 2005 in Gretna, Neb., the son of Jeremiah Jones and Jennifer Soulek. He was raised in Hasting, Neb. until 2014, when he moved to N.D. with his mom, settling in the Killdeer/Manning area prior to moving to Dickinson where he attended the eighth grade at the Dickinson Middle School and was to begin his freshman year at Dickinson High School.

He participated in the Robotics Club in Killdeer, enjoyed fishing and camping and was looking forward to hunter safety. He enjoyed reading and was a car fanatic and was always wanting to help others.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Jennifer (Adam) Neumann, Dickinson; his dad, Jeremiah Jones, Omaha, Neb.; siblings, Hannah Jones, Jonathan Jones, Gaberille Stierwalt and Renezmee Neumann; grandparents, Kelly (Miles) Beale, Brian (Sharon) Soulek, June Fogle and Ann Theesen; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Zachariah Beale; and grandpa, Charles Theesen, Jr.
