Edward Henry Bohlman was born August 3, 1926, the son of Henry J. and Louise R. (Lenhardt) Bohlman of New England, ND. He grew up in New England where he attended and graduated from the New England Public School.
In 1945 at the age of 18, Ed started driving truck and continued to actively operate his trucking business as well as still “driving” his semi hauling livestock and steel across country. He was happy doing what he enjoyed for 63 years. You never knew where you would find him and the many dogs he took with him over the years. His grandson Joshua held a very special place working with him in his spare time.
On April 8, 1947 Edward and Barbara Jung were united in marriage at St. Mary’s in New England, and there were 11 children born to this union. They were divorced and in 1972 Barbara passed away. On July 14, 1971 Edward and Fern Kruckenberg were united in marriage and from this union came two children, Terry and Connie Jo.
Ed is survived by eight daughters, Eileen (Donald) Tuhy, Belgium, WI, Shirley (Darrell) Peterson, Elk River, MN, Sharon Warrington, Alexandria, MN, Sheryl (Robert) Maus, Henderson, NV, Charlotte (Dale) Specht, Great Falls, MT, Joleen Wagner, Albuquerque, NM, Janene Coombs, Youngtown, AZ, and Connie Jo (Wade) Kadrmas, Dickinson; three sons, Charles (Mary), Henderson, NV, Rodney (Gloria), Las Vegas, NV, and Terry (Debbie), Dickinson; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald, Spokane, WA, Herbert (Florentine), and Joe, New England; two sisters, Elaine (Dick) Heggie, New England, and Arlene (Larry) Wanner, Glendive, MT; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family prefers memorials to the donors choice in lieu of flowers.
