Date of Funeral

Tuesday, October 20, 2026

Eileen Diede, 76, Fargo, died on Friday, October 9, 2026 in Fargo. A Liturgy of Word for Eileen will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Deacon Bob Stockert as presider. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Hebron.

Eileen J. Diede was born March 29, 1950 in Richardton, the daughter of Raymond and Regina (Schulz) Diede. She was raised and educated in Hebron, having graduated from Hebron High School in 1968.

Although Eileen never had children of her own, she was never without a family. Her nieces and nephews were her kids, and as their families grew, she welcomed their children as her grandchildren.

She was the fun aunt who liked to spoil her nieces, nephews, and their kids. She loved making the even the simplest moments a little more special. During the holidays, she enjoyed playing games and carving pumpkins. She LOVED playing Bingo and cards with her friends. She also enjoyed sewing – making clothes for herself, nieces and their kids.

Eileen loved showing up for the people she cared about. You could often find her cheering at sporting events, celebrating her families’ accomplishments or simply being part of the moments that made them all happy. Baseball held a special place in her heart, and watching the kids play was one of the many ways she showed her love and support.

Eileen was an avid bowler being on different leagues, going to many local and even national bowling tournaments. She was also a big sports fan with her favorite teams being the Las Vegas Raiders, the Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Lakers, but you could also find her watching hockey, golf and tennis.

Eileen is survived by her siblings, Ronald (Laverne) Diede, Dickinson, and Linda Diede, West Fargo; nieces and nephews, Rhonda (Chris) Fitterer, Kevin (Sarah) Diede, Ryan (Andrea) Diede, Melissa (Jason) Olheiser, Pam (Brent) Hoff, Michelle (Michael) Zent, and Paul (Ashley) Zent; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Diede; and nephew, Mark Diede.
