Eileen Johnson, 75, Dickinson died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her home. There will be a rosary with a Celebration of Life Service at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Inurnment will take place at the Dickinson Cemetery at a later date. On Friday there will be a Gathering of Family & Friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a time of sharing at 6 p.m.
Eileen M. Ehreth was born April 13, 1943 in Bismarck, daughter of John and Regina (Heintz) Ehreth. She was raised and educated in Bismarck. She went on to attend Minot State where she earned her teaching certificate.
Eileen was united in marriage to Dennis Johnson on June 25, 1965 in Bismarck. They lived in Moorhead, Minn. while Dennis finished school. Eileen and Dennis moved to Dickinson where she taught at Lincoln Elementary. After moving back to Dickinson from Fargo, she spent some time at Berg Elementary and then moved to Heart River Elementary when it was built, having taught fourth grade, following a 41 year career she retired in 2007. Besides her family, teaching and education was her life.
She was a member of S.A.R.T.A., “Birthday” Club and bridge club. She enjoyed watching all and any sports. Especially the Atlanta Braves and anything that involved her son Craig and her grandsons.
