Eleanor Weber, 88, Dickinson, passed to Heaven on Monday, December 3, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Eleanor’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Eleanor Ehresmann was born April 4, 1930 in Dickinson, daughter of Michael and Mariann (Paul) Ehresmann. She was raised and educated in Gladstone.
Eleanor married Henry V. Weber on July 8, 1946 in Dickinson at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Henry passed on December 11, 1997, whom she greatly missed. They enjoyed over 50 years of married life together.
Eleanor worked in retail in Dickinson for 45 years. She retired after 20 years as manager of “The Fad Ladies” Store in Dickinson. She was a classy lady and had an eye for clothes and enjoyed her many clothes buying market trips to various cities throughout the United States.
She belonged to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dickinson and was a Christian Mother there. She was also a member of the Elks Club. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and continued to drive on trips after his passing. She had many dear friends who called her and also those she enjoyed getting together with. All were special to her. She was a daily breakfast customer at Perkins where her booth was always ready and waiting.
Eleanor is survived by her sister-in-law, Roni Weber, Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; brother-in-law, Tony Weber; four infant brothers; one infant sister; four sisters, Sister Edith Ehresmann, Betty Perricone, Rose Dukart and Bertha Wanner; and four brothers, Joe, John, Adam and Michael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson.
