Elizabeth “Betty” Haugen, 72, New England, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home. Betty’s Liturgy of Word Service will be 3 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Bob Zent presiding. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday.
Elizabeth Nielsen was born December 26, 1945 in Dickinson, daughter of Aage and Josephine (Smith) Nielsen. She was raised and educated in New England. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1964.
Betty was united in marriage to Orville Haugen on December 21, 1968 at St. John Lutheran Church, Dickinson. To this union one child was born, Audrey.
She enjoyed puzzling, gardening and taking trips to Prairie Knights.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Steven) Treiber, Bismarck; two grandchildren, Ashley and Cole Treiber; siblings, Rod (Deloris) Nielsen, Rapid City, and Sue (Russ) Wolf, Dickinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; her parents, and brother Jim (Elsie) Nielsen.
