Elizabeth J. Dutchak, 97, Belfield, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Elizabeth’s Divine Liturgy with Parastas will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Belfield with Fr. Myroslav Dumych as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Elizabeth Maslowski was born September 6, 1922 in Gorham, the daughter of Nick and Hattie (Rychkun) Maslowski. She attended school through the eighth grade and finished her GED at home so she could work at home and work hoeing beets and such in Montana.

Elizabeth married George Dutchak in 1942. In 1949, they moved to Belfield where George continued to farm and Elizabeth worked as a waitress for many years at the local restaurants, along with raising eight children. George passed away in 1972 and Elizabeth continued to work and was very active in the church. She cared for other children along with her own and she always enjoyed all of them.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Terrance, Clement (Marilyn), Rosemary, Paulette; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eleanor Maslowski, Billings, Mont.; son-in-law, James Fischer, Billings, Mont, daughter-in-law, Linda Dutchak, Belfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her grandson, Justin Matteson; great-grandson, Taylor Dutchak, brothers, Joe and Carl; sister, Mary; her children, Sebastian, Arnold, Georgiana and Marcella; son-in-law, Gary Haworth.
