Elizabeth LouElla Neal,94 of Colorado Springs, Colorado where she had lived since December of 2013, peacefully passed away on April 10th, 2016 at her home. A memorial service will be held at Hillside Baptist Church, Dickinson, on Sunday, April, 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ron Gold officiating. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery followed by lunch at the church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, the 16 of April at Ladbury Funeral Service. Following the visitation on Saturday there will be a family service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Rande Kerr officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers Gideon bibles to be donated in the memory of Betty.

Elizabeth (Betty), was born on the family farm north east of Dickinson, North Dakota on February 4, 1922. She graduated from Model High School of Dickinson State College and received her Teacher’s Standard degree from Dickinson State College. She was married to Louis Earl Neal on June 12th of 1943 and they farmed in the Manning area. She was an elementary school teacher for twenty three years in rural schools in the Manning area and at Killdeer Public School. While they lived on the farm near Manning, they were members of the Manning Baptist Church where she and Louis accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior in their 20s. They were active in the church for many years. After they retired from the farm, they moved to Dickinson, North Dakota. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Dickinson, North Dakota. She had a passion for gardening, sewing and especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Neal and her daughter Sharon Scott.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Howard) Lennick, Colorado Springs, Colorado, her granddaughter, April (Greg) Gawryluk, Woodland Park, Colorado, her grandson, Scott (Roxanne) Lennick, Littleton, Colorado, her grandson, James Scott, Grand Junction, Colorado and her granddaughter, Betty Scott Senior, Reno, Nevada, great grandchildren, Hannah, Lydia, Isaac, Abigail, Seth, Luke, Grace and Julia Gawryluk, Titus, Kaylee and Jennifer Scott, son-in-law, Jim Scott and his wife Karen, Grand Junction, Colorado, numerous nieces and nephews and sister in law, Minnie Gates, Lewiston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Earl Twist and Ethel Prideaux Twist, brothers and their wives, Robert, Donald (Eleanor) and Ernest (Faye) Twist, sisters and their husbands, Bernice (Andrew)Kolesnick and Lois (Marvin) Wegner, Glenn and Elva Neal, Ernest Gates, Mary and Mike Koppi and Mike Senior, her granddaughter, Betty‘s husband.

Betty Neal was a beloved mother and grandmother to her family and she will be missed by many, but we are thankful she has been a part of our lives and is now in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
