Emelia “Emy” Mosbrucker, 86, Cloquet, MN, formerly of Dickinson, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN. Emelia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Brandon Wolf as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

Emelia Caroline Yesel was born October 20, 1937, in Berwick, ND, the daughter of Mathew and Elizabeth (Ell) Yesel. She was raised and educated in Watford City, having graduated from Watford City High School in 1955. She then attended Minot State Teachers College where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught in country schools for a few years.

Emelia was united in marriage to Lawrence C. Mosbrucker on June 25, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williston. They moved to Missoula, MT where they began their family. They relocated to Minot in 1968 and then eventually moved in 1974 to Dickinson with their growing family. Besides raising her family, she also worked side by side with her husband in their tree service.

She ran a daycare for many years and cherished every moment and every child. They had also foster cared for a while. Emy and her husband devoted endless hours to the Eucharistic Adorations, Holy Hours, and daily prayers. They enjoyed playing scrabble, cards, going to coffee, and making and repairing rosaries.

Emy belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary, and the Red Hat Society.

Emy is survived by her children, Anthony (Becky) Mosbrucker, Yorktown, VA, Lana (Brad) Wanner, Belle Fourche, SD, Lorene (Tim) Trumbull, Cloquet, MN, and Melanie Williams, Mustang, OK; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Snortland, Roundup, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on September 17, 2014; her parents; daughter, Rosalie Mosbrucker; brother, Leo (Phyllis) Yesel; infant granddaughter, Megan Mosbrucker; and infant grandson, Lorden Wanner.
